Sweden to Host the World’s First Sex Championship

Sweden has made history by officially recognising sex as a sport and announcing plans to host the world’s first European Sex Championship. The multi-week tournament is set to see participants engage in six hours of competition each day, spread across various disciplines. Participants will be scored by both the public and a panel of five expert judges, and the competition is open to individuals of all sexual orientations and genders.

A Unique Approach to Competitive Sport

The groundbreaking tournament will consist of three stages, with participants needing to accumulate enough points in order to advance to the next level. A total of 16 disciplines will be included in the championship, ranging from seduction and massaging various body parts, to performance of sexual positions and endurance. Other disciplines will encompass artistic performance, creative variation of sexual positions, and even monitoring of participants’ blood pressure and heart rate during the competition. The most active and artistically inclined couples, as well as those most popular among Karma experts, judges, and the audience, are expected to perform well.

Sex as a Sport: The Future of Physical and Mental Well-being?

According to Dragan Bratych, the President of the Swedish Federation of Sex, recognizing sex as a sport was an inevitable evolution given the benefits it has for mental and physical health. He emphasized the importance of participants undergoing training to achieve the desired results. With the participant’s enjoyment directly impacting their score, pleasure plays a critical role in this new sport. The Swedish Sex Federation recognizes that sex, as a sport, requires a mix of creativity, intense emotions, imagination, physical fitness, endurance, and performance.

The Championship’s Launch

The inaugural European Sex Championship is scheduled to take place near Gothenburg, Sweden, beginning on June 8, 2023. Participants from various European countries will compete in this historic event, marking a significant step in the evolution of sports and attitudes towards sexual wellness and education.
